The VP, Strategy at Klick is a blend of strategy magic with a deep desire to reinvent the craft and the experiences we create. A seasoned pro with an intense curiosity to discover and broaden skills into the wide array of strategy domains. A master problem solver for brands and businesses with a keen ability to consider and examine all context while quickly and critically identifying the crux of an opportunity. Someone who would never accept an accolade for “good strategy” without the proof points of impact in-market.
Responsibilities
- Able to lead integrated strategy on a piece of business, offering proactive strategic leadership while delivering the highest quality of strategy output
- Occasionally leads new business efforts
- Weighs in on brand scoping
- Manages workflow, anticipates/manages resource spikes, coordinates with other Strategy leads before elevating
- Evangelizes the vision of the Strategy department, demonstrating and advocating for new principles and practices
- Seeks stretch opportunities to grow the craft internally or externally
- Participates in Dir, VP, and SVP interview loop
- Strong contributor in team meetings
- Inspires and builds strong relationships with creative partners
- Drives 1:1s with direct reports and team members
- Drives goal setting, reviews, and continual performance dialogues with reports
Experience & Attributes
- University degree, with a focus in business or science; MBA preferred
- 12-15 years+ of experience in marketing, with the majority in U.S. healthcare marketing in an agency role
- Intellectual curiosity, paired with an affinity and aptitude for creative problem solving
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Track record of progressive leadership experience
- Comfort and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work
