About Our Medical Craft

As the single largest medical team integrated across a single agency, the Medical team uncovers scientific truth through our board expertise in science and regulatory, medical strategy, medical communications, and value, access and reimbursement. Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to join our Market Access team. As a Medical Director, you will lead scientific and strategic development for payer-focused communication initiatives, ensuring medical accuracy, credibility, and impact across all deliverables.This role requires a strong blend of scientific expertise, strategic insight, and client-facing leadership to drive innovative solutions that meet evolving market access challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior medical staff, and serve as a trusted scientific partner to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and review of scientific content for payer communications, including slide decks, dossiers, monographs, journal ads, and digital assets.
  • Translate complex scientific, clinical, and health economic data into clear and compelling messaging tailored for payer and market access audiences.
  • Provide scientific and strategic guidance to internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and market access strategies.
  • Conduct and oversee literature reviews, critically assess data, and ensure scientific claims are properly substantiated.
  • Stay current on therapeutic area developments, payer trends, and healthcare policy to proactively inform strategy.
  • Participate in and lead client meetings, advisory boards, and medical conference coverage; synthesize key insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Mentor and coach junior medical team members, fostering professional growth and excellence in deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a scientific thought partner and trusted advisor.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent in life sciences).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in medical communications, market access, or a related healthcare/biopharmaceutical role.
  • Proven track record of translating clinical and health economic data into strategic payer-focused communications.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of scientific accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work.
