Job Description

The Print Production Manager oversees the end-to-end production of print and direct mail projects, ensuring creative ideas are executed accurately, efficiently, and on budget. This role works closely with Studio, Creative, Project Management, and external vendors to coordinate timelines, specifications, and delivery. The position requires strong production judgment, vendor management, and problem-solving skills. The Print Production Manager supports assigned clients by ensuring print work meets quality, regulatory, and mailing requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end print and direct mail production from creative brief through file delivery, print, and mail induction (CPC/USPS).
  • Develop production strategies, cost estimates, and schedules based on defined scopes of work using print and mailing specifications.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating costs, issuing purchase orders, and reconciling invoices.
  • Partner with Project Management, Creative, and Studio teams to align timelines, budgets, and production requirements.
  • Review mechanical specifications, proofs, and press checks to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with production standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of hands-on print advertising production experience managing projects from concept through final delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in print technologies including litho, digital/POD, web, and inline capabilities with working knowledge of pre-press workflows.
  • Proven experience developing detailed production estimates, schedules, and mechanical specifications for print vendors and studio teams.
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines while maintaining accuracy and budget control.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent professional experience in print production, communications, or a related field.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience working with lettershops, postal regulations, and direct mail programs including CPC and USPS requirements.
  • Font licensing, asset purchasing, and print rights management experience.
  • Certified Print Production accreditation or equivalent professional training.
  • Experience in regulated or healthcare/pharmaceutical environments.

Additional Information

This posting is for a newly created role at Klick.

The base salary range for this position is between CAD $70,000 - $85,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
