Job Description

The Freelance Senior Project Manager will support complex healthcare marketing projects for clients and internal teams. This role helps manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams. The role partners closely with Client Services, subject matter experts, creative, strategy, and client stakeholders to deliver strong project outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple complex client projects in parallel, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and communication deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Client Services, Creative, Strategy, Medical, and client stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Apply risk mitigation plans, change management approaches, and project tracking tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, TFS, or similar platforms.
  • Manage project financials, reconciliations, work orders, contingency use, and portfolio metrics tied to revenue and profitability.
  • Support other team members on project management practices, onboarding, delivery standards, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of project management experience or 3+ years of agency project management experience managing client-facing projects.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects in parallel, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder communication.
  • Project financial management experience, including revenue tracking, reconciliations, work orders, contingency, profit, or loss impacts.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, TFS, or similar platforms in active project delivery.
  • Experience working with waterfall and Agile or Scrum delivery methods across digital, CRM, software, interactive, or new media projects.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese for client and cross-functional stakeholder communication.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience in healthcare and life sciences in agency environments.
  • Advanced presentation, negotiation, and client relationship skills demonstrated through senior stakeholder or client-facing work.
  • Experience supporting staffing plans, resource conflict resolution, team onboarding, or mentoring Project Managers and Coordinators.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, Scrum, Agile, or similar credentials are helpful but not required.

The rate/salary for this position will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate's work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
