The Creative Craft brings strategy to life through ideas, storytelling, and design across channels. Copywriters and Art Directors partner with Strategy, Medical, and Account teams to build work grounded in insight and brand objectives. The team develops campaigns and content across digital, print, video, and emerging platforms. Creative work in life sciences balances imagination with regulatory accuracy and clarity.
Job Description
The Junior Copywriter intern supports the development of clear, compelling copy across digital, print, and video channels within a regulated healthcare environment. This role works closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Strategists, and Medical partners to translate briefs into brand-aligned concepts and executions. The position offers hands-on experience with campaign development, revisions, and internal reviews. Success in this role is measured by quality of ideas, clarity of writing, responsiveness to feedback, and alignment with strategy and brand guidelines.
Internship Term: May - August, 2026
What You’ll Do
- Develop copy for websites, banner ads, emails, print materials, and video scripts based on approved creative briefs and brand messaging platforms.
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Strategists, and Medical partners to concept campaign ideas that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Revise copy based on Creative Director and client feedback, maintaining version control and accuracy across deliverables.
- Participate in internal creative reviews, presenting rationale for messaging decisions grounded in strategy and audience insight.
- Research therapeutic areas, competitors, and audience insights to inform messaging and ensure scientific accuracy.
Qualifications
Required:
- Have a portfolio showcasing original copywriting work that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, clear messaging, and campaign development across at least two mediums (e.g., digital, print, video). Healthcare or DTC examples are considered an asset but not required.
- Graduating by April 2026 or graduated from a post-secondary program within the past two years in Creative Copywriting, Advertising, Marketing, English, Communications, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to translate a brief or strategic objective into structured messaging, shown through coursework, internships, or portfolio case studies
- Experience receiving and incorporating structured feedback into revised written work, evidenced by multiple draft iterations
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, demonstrated through academic, internship, or project-based deadlines
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done
- Coursework or exposure to healthcare, science, or regulated industries, demonstrated through projects or academic focus
- Experience collaborating on team-based creative projects, with defined individual contributions outlined in portfolio
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and tone-of-voice frameworks, shown through applied portfolio examples
- Participation in student publications, creative competitions, or internships with measurable outcomes or recognition
Additional Information
This posting is for a newly created role at Klick. The base salary range for this position is CAD $50,000 per year. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate’s work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior experience.
