Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you won't just be focusing on a single product; you will own the design across a portfolio of internal tools and platforms. You are a "full-stack" designer, someone who is just as comfortable  defining a complex UX workflow as they are creating high-fidelity visual designs that make a product feel polished and professional.

You are self-sufficient and thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment. You can take a brief, understand prospects’, customers’, and users’ needs, and deliver a complete design solution that is ready for hand-off. You are the visual lead for this craft, ensuring our technical products look as great as they function.

What You’ll Do:

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the design lifecycle for multiple products across our portfolio, from initial guardrails and requirements to final high-fidelity hand-off.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product team leadership, Product Management, Senior Software Engineers, and QA Engineers to translate roadmap priorities and ambiguous requirements into clear, user-centered design solutions.

  • Design System Stewardship: Take the lead on building, centralizing, and managing a unified design system for Klick products to ensure consistency and scalability for the future, including owning the look-and-feel of our web component library.

  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: Move beyond static mockups; create interactive prototype environments that allow the engineering team to visualize and build quickly.

  • Visual Excellence: Lead the visual identity of our technical products, blending deep UX logic with high-end visual design.

  • AI Integration & Innovation: Explore and implement the latest AI-driven design tools (like Pencil, AI-assisted Figma plugins, and related) to speed up workflows and enhance the product experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4-5 years of experience as a Product Designer, preferably in a startup or high-growth technical environment.

  • Portfolio of Work: A proven track record of managing a portfolio of products rather than a single focus area.

  • Dual Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Visual Design (UI, typography, color, polish) with strong understanding of UX (logic, wireframing, user journeys).

  • Figma & Prototyping: Advanced mastery of Figma and experience building functional prototypes that reflect real-world environments.

  • Design Systems: Experience building and maintaining a centralized design system from scratch.

  • Self-Sufficiency: The ability to take a requirement and design a complete solution with minimal oversight.

Desired:.

  • Technical Fluency: A strong understanding of how design translates to code, allowing for seamless hand-offs to an engineering team that moves fast.

  • AI Driven: Active utilization and exploration in the latest AI design tools and how they can be applied to product development.

  • Experience working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and iterate quickly.
