Job Description
The Copy Supervisor leads concept development and execution for pharmaceutical and life sciences brands, translating complex clinical and marketing strategies into compelling, channel-ready creative. This role partners closely with Art, Strategy, Medical, and Client Services to deliver integrated campaigns across HCP and patient audiences. The Copy Supervisor also manages and mentors junior creatives while ensuring work meets regulatory, brand, and production standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead concept development and write integrated campaign assets (print, digital, video, CRM, social) aligned to marketing briefs and medical strategy.
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Medical, and Client Services to refine messaging, ensure accuracy, and deliver regulatory-ready copy.
- Present creative concepts to clients and defend strategic rationale with clear, persuasive storytelling.
- Manage and mentor copy team members through structured feedback, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching.
- Oversee routing, production workflows, and collaboration with Creative Shared Services to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare advertising with demonstrated ownership of HCP and/or patient-facing campaigns.
- Proven experience developing integrated, omnichannel campaign concepts from brief through launch, including digital and print deliverables.
- Experience presenting creative work to clients and senior stakeholders, with documented examples of concept defense and approval.
- Prior experience mentoring or managing at least 1–2 direct reports, including conducting performance feedback and development planning.
- Strong understanding of regulatory review processes (e.g., MLR) and experience partnering with Medical and Regulatory teams.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas or supporting product launches in competitive categories.
- Experience working with production vendors across CGI, video shoots, and stock sourcing within defined budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and lead creative portions of client meetings independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Writing, or related discipline.
