About our Market Access Team

The Market Access team, as part of Klick's Medical Craft, partners with life sciences clients to ensure therapies reach the patients who need them. The team delivers payer research, pricing and reimbursement strategy, value communication, and evidence-based insights. Through qualitative and quantitative research, the craft translates complex healthcare and reimbursement dynamics into clear, strategic recommendations. Collaboration across strategy, analytics, and client services is central to how the team operates.

Job Description

The Health Economics Analyst, Market Access intern supports economic modeling that informs payer and reimbursement strategy and messaging. This role works closely with senior economists, strategists, and medical experts to add quantitative analysis to issues of affordability and reimbursement in the health care sector. The internship provides hands-on exposure to healthcare market access research within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Internship Term: May - August, 2026

What You’ll Do

  • Extract data from relevant literature and databases.
  • Develop frameworks for understanding cost effectiveness and value within the US healthcare system across several disease states.
  • Develop economic messages to be used in pieces facing population health decision makers.
  • Produce reports in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduating by April 2026 or graduated from a post-secondary program within the past two years from a degree program with a heavy quantitative focus such as economics, public health, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Experience extracting information from databases and/or research papers, preferably when the underlying subject area is unfamiliar
  • Experience synthesizing research findings into structured written summaries or slide presentations using PowerPoint or Google Slides.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for organizing datasets, tracking themes, or managing research materials.
  • Ability to present research findings or project outcomes to faculty, peers, or team stakeholders in a structured setting.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Exposure to healthcare systems, payer dynamics, reimbursement, or health policy through coursework, research, or internships.
  • Experience with a wide variety of excel functions including sumproduct and vlookup.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects involving research and strategy teams.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in market access, healthcare consulting, or life sciences strategy

Additional Information

This posting is for a newly created role at Klick. The base salary range for this position is CAD $65,000 per year. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate’s work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior experience.
