Freelance Translator, Healthcare Copy - German
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate English content into clear and accurate German, ensuring the message is culturally appropriate and contextually correct.
- Review all translated materials for consistency in tone, style, and branding guidelines.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure translated content aligns with client’s marketing strategies and objectives.
- Provide input on localization strategies to adapt content to the German market.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with creative and client service teams to ensure translations align with project goals.
- Deliver high-quality translations under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects at once.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and share insights to improve translation quality and efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of project scope and timelines, reporting progress regularly and flagging any potential issues early.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Native-level fluency in German and English.
- Proven experience in translation, especially in marketing, advertising, or content creation.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments.
- Solid understanding of cultural nuances and differences between English and German audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.
- Proficient in using translation software and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Experience with AI translation tools is a plus.
Experience:
- Background in marketing, advertising, or content translation is required
- Minimum 5+ years of professional translation experience desired
