Job Details

The Senior Director, Patient Access Strategy will lead the development and execution of innovative patient access solutions that ensure patients can initiate and maintain appropriate treatment across the spectrum of therapeutic classes. . This individual will serve as a strategic partner to clients, aligning patient access strategy with brand objectives, payer dynamics, and evolving healthcare delivery models including integrated distribution and dispensing. The role requires deep expertise in patient services, HUB models, reimbursement pathways for HCP administered and self administered treatments, as well as distribution and dispensing models, while maintaining a collaborative agency mindset that drives growth, retention, and excellence in delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain strong client relationships at senior levels, leveraging these connections to grow partnerships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Partner with client and cross-functional teams—including creative, medical, strategy, and client services—to shape patient access strategy and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on patient support solutions aligned with treatment considerations, HUB services, reimbursement models, and specialty pharmacy/distribution pathways.
  • Anticipate trends in patient services and access policy, translating risks and opportunities into actionable client recommendations.
  • Lead the design and oversight of enterprise-level access plans, ensuring alignment with long-term brand and portfolio strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as HEOR, global patient access, R&D, and marketing to shape forecasts, evidence generation, and value messaging.
  • Guide  and develop content and materials that communicate patient access solutions to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic impact.
  • Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and account profitability within patient access strategy projects.
  • Mentor and inspire agency teams, fostering a culture of continual learning and innovation.
  • Represent the agency in new business pitches and industry forums, leveraging expertise to drive thought leadership and visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in biopharma market access, with at least 5 years focused on patient services.
  • Strong knowledge of HUB models, reimbursement pathways, and distribution systems (specialty pharmacy, wholesalers, integrated delivery networks, community practices, academic medical centers).
  • Proven success leading enterprise-level access strategy, collaborating across functions, and influencing at senior levels.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate industry trends, think critically, and craft innovative solutions.
  • Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work
