The team translates complex clinical data into clear strategic direction that resonates with healthcare audiences. They collaborate closely with Strategy and Creative to ensure messaging is medically sound and insight-driven. Their work helps brands communicate value with clarity, relevance, and credibility.
Job Description
As an Assistant Medical Strategist, this role supports medical strategy initiatives for life sciences clients by translating clinical and scientific evidence into clear, medically sound brand direction. The role partners with Medical Strategy, Creative, Strategy, and Client Services teams to review content, interpret data, and help shape differentiated brand narratives. This position also supports business development through research, medical content development, and pitch preparation.
What You’ll Do
- Support medical strategy work for healthcare and life sciences brands by reviewing clinical data, brand materials, and disease-state context.
- Translate complex science into clear communications, strategic POVs, and medically viable recommendations for internal teams and clients.
- Review content created by copywriters, medical writers, and cross-functional teams for scientific accuracy, relevance, and brand differentiation.
- Maintain understanding of assigned therapeutic landscapes through competitive analyses, literature review, and emerging clinical updates.
- Contribute to RFPs, pitches, and account growth by developing research summaries, medical content, and strategic inputs.
Qualifications
Required:
- PhD, MD, or PharmD degree with demonstrated ability to interpret clinical and scientific information for healthcare audiences.
- Experience analyzing clinical literature, scientific data, or therapeutic landscapes and turning findings into written recommendations or POVs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills shown through scientific writing, presentations, publications, client materials, or academic work.
- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals with examples of applying audience, brand, or positioning considerations to scientific communication.
- Organizational skills demonstrated through managing multiple deliverables, deadlines, workstreams, or stakeholder inputs.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- 3+ years of experience in medical strategy, medical communications, pharmaceutical consulting, or a related life sciences role.
- Agency experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences clients.
- Experience presenting medically related recommendations to clients, senior stakeholders, or cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting business development, RFPs, pitch research, or new opportunity development.
Additional Information
This posting is for a newly created role at Klick.
The base salary range for this position is between CAD $90,000 - $110,000. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate’s work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
