Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping the future of medical communications? Do you have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and a knack for developing innovative strategies? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a VP of Scientific Strategy.

 

 In this role you will utilize your detailed experience in medical communications to design, execute, and optimize world-class engagement strategies. You will support a diverse variety of clients and challenges, with a  specific focus on designing medical engagement solutions of the future for our medical affairs and commercial medical communications clients. You will be a go-to expert for designing and leading strategic projects including workshops and medical communications planning, as well as being a key strategic contributor to new business pitches and proposals. You will collaborate and interface with a variety of internal multi-disciplinary  experts and teams across different Klick crafts, including client services, medical strategy, medical writing, activation strategy, technology, and data/analytics, to deliver groundbreaking, innovative and high-impact solutions for our clients

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and tactical planning: Bring leadership to medical communications strategic and tactical planning  for multiple medical affairs and commercial client workstreams
  • Innovation: Design and implement innovative approaches, frameworks and solutions to address clients’ medical engagement challenges and evolve Klick’s offerings, in partnership with other crafts
  • Client engagement: Play a key role in fulfilling Klick’s vision to be a transformative medical agency partner by building high-value strategic relationships with our clients
  • Project leadership and execution: Contribute to  project briefs/plans and provide leadership in coordinating and executing a diverse array of projects and tactics  in a highly collaborative and cross-discipline manner
  • Project execution: Contributing in a versatile and hands-on manner to the execution of a wide variety of projects and strategic/content deliverables, including review of medical writing deliverables
  • Thought leadership: Continuously support innovation and growth strategies through thought leadership, trend monitoring and authorship of proactive POVs and recommendations for clients
  • People development: Contribute to mentoring and line management (as required) as we build out our team of high-performing, top medical communications talent
  • Growth: Participate in new business pitches and activities working closely with the SVP for Scientific Innovation and other key contributors

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a medical communications or medical education agency
  • Experienced across a breadth of medical communications strategic and tactical deliverables
  • Innovative strategic and tactical thinking
  • Excellent communication, presentation, client facing and workshop moderation skills
  • Ability to be versatile, hands-on,  highly collaborative and flexible in solving a wider variety of client problems and ensuring the success of our medical affairs and communications client engagements
  • Scientific degree, PhD or MD preferred
  • Knowledge, curiosity, and passion about innovation in medical communications are a must 
  • Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work
