About Our Medical Craft

As the single largest medical team integrated across a single agency, the Medical team uncovers scientific truth through our board expertise in science and regulatory, medical strategy, medical communications, and value, access and reimbursement. The Medical team assumes responsibility for understanding the clinical aspects in depth to discover unique offerings and believes in the importance of shaping the brand-building process as early as possible: forming the scientific narrative, the language included in the label, and identifying where the brand plays in the buying process.

Your Day-to-Day at Klick Market Access

As an ACD at Klick Market Access, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that specializes in delivering strategic, high-impact payer communications. You’ll lead and shape messaging that helps innovative therapies earn coverage, access, and reimbursement—working closely with strategy, medical, creative, and account stakeholders. Management experience is a plus, as this role may involve guiding junior or mid-level writers. Your work will span branded and unbranded campaigns, payer decks, HCEI materials, and field tools across therapeutic areas. Here’s what your day-to-day work includes;

Key Accountabilities

  •  Narrative and Message Development: You’ll own the development of clear, compelling, and payer-focused narratives that connect clinical value with real-world relevance. You’ll create and refine positioning, story flow, and key messages across multiple access deliverables—including value platforms, AMCP dossiers, payer presentations, and branded pull-through tools.
  •  Client Collaboration and Presentation: You’ll participate in client meetings, workshops, and live reviews—presenting work, defending rationale, and translating complex data into persuasive, payer-ready messaging. You’ll field feedback with precision and clarity, always tying revisions back to strategic goals. You’ll represent the core copy perspective in meetings, partnering with account and strategy to move work forward.
  •  Core Message Team Leadership: You’ll serve as a core member of a three-person team: medical writer, strategy lead, and you. Together, you’ll co-develop a messaging foundation rooted in scientific evidence, strategic imperatives, and payer psychology. You’ll drive editorial consistency across all workstreams while aligning with brand priorities.
  •  Cross-Functional Accountability: You’ll be accountable to Project Managers and Client Services partners for quality, timelines, and delivery. You’ll be expected to manage your own deadlines and contribute to weekly status updates, content trackers, and internal routing processes. You may also help guide and mentor other writers across the team.
  •  Annotation, Referencing, and File Discipline: You’ll be responsible for clean, accurate annotation using AMA format—tying every claim to credible sources. You’ll work in tandem with strategy and medical to build annotation files that are client-ready and MLR-compliant. You’ll also manage your work across platforms like Ziflow, SharePoint, and Google Docs, maintaining consistent version control and documentation throughout.
  •  Editorial Precision and Quality Control: You’ll maintain high standards in tone, clarity, structure, and logical flow across both scientific and commercial content. You’ll review team output and escalate inconsistencies. You’ll ensure that every piece of communication reflects Klick’s commitment to strategic storytelling and executional rigor.
  •  Tools and Platforms: Familiarity with Ziflow, SharePoint, and Google Workspace is important, as is comfort with cross-functional collaboration in a remote-first environment. A solid working knowledge of AMA referencing style is required.

The Work You'll Support:

  • Branded and unbranded payer decks
  •   Value story platforms
  •   HCEI dossiers and payer leave-behinds
  •   Coverage announcements and pull-through materials
  • Market shaping tools and payer advisory prep
  •   Annotated reference packs and MLR-ready submissions
  • Why It Matters: Your work will help financial decision-makers understand the clinical, humanistic, and economic value of therapies that improve lives. You’ll lead message strategy and bring cohesion to cross-functional teams working in one of the most specialized and meaningful corners of healthcare communications.
