What You’ll Do

  • Architect and Build AI Enriched SystemsLead the design and development of features across Genome’s full stack
  • Architect modular, scalable, and maintainable systems that handle high user volume and frequent interactions
  • Evaluate new technologies quickly to identify high leverage opportunities
  • Ensure solutions support performance, reliability, and operational awareness
  • Develop With Speed, Intention, and QualityUse LLM powered coding assistants (such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and Antigravity) as orchestration tools to accelerate development
  • Maintain high code quality while using AI to reduce development time
  • Build prototypes rapidly and convert them into stable, production ready features
  • Integrate AI services from platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google
  • Monitor and adjust for model drift, unexpected behavior, or performance issues
  • Work directly with product and business stakeholders to convert (sometimes) ambiguous requirements into clear execution plans
  • Identify requirement gaps early and help shape the right solutions
  • Balance feasibility, speed, and business impact when determining approach
  • Build for the BusinessUnderstand Genome’s role as a business driving platform
  • Design features and systems that reflect business goals, operational realities, and user needs
  • Ensure solutions directly support decision making, efficiency, and organizational awareness
  • Partner with other developers, designers, Genome leadership, and AI strategists to deliver integrated solutions
  • Help build team alignment around system design and implementation priorities

What You Bring

  • Proven experience designing and implementing high scale systems handling large loads or frequent interactions
  • Full stack expertise, especially in environments where rapid iteration matters
  • Strong understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems, and enterprise architecture patterns
  • Hands on experience integrating AI and LLM based capabilities into real products
  • Mastery of AI Coding AssistanceSkilled at orchestrating LLM coding assistants to accelerate development
  • Able to guide models with clarity, structure, and intent
  • Understands how to pair human judgment with AI generated code
  • Able to detect when AI output is drifting or inefficient and course correct effectively
  • Sees technology as a means to deliver business outcomes, not as an isolated craft
  • Comfortable working on a platform where business value and operational intelligence matter most
  • Balances user experience, system design, and business impact when making tradeoffs

Preferred Experience

  • 5 plus years of professional development experience, including system architecture or lead responsibilities
  • Strong proficiency with Python and at least one other language (TypeScript, Java, or C# preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (particularly AWS and GCP)
  • Background in AI driven systems and generative AI integration
  • Exposure to regulated industries or enterprise scale environments is an asset
