When you join the Social Strategy team at Klick you are becoming part of something special. We are a team of 20+ Social Strategists and Community Managers who help our clients and partners navigate the ever changing world of social marketing.

Klick Health is a pharmaceutical marketing and commercialization firm that works across all media for audiences engaged in improving healthcare. These audiences include patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and more.

If you’re worried that pharmaceutical marketing is staid, worry no longer. We run campaigns that include top tier celebrities, influencers of all sizes, memes, humor, and of course medical facts and data. Our work drives the conversations that make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

As a Social Strategist in the Klick Social team you will wear many hats and juggle multiple priorities. Your main focus will be creating leading-edge social engagement plans for pharmaceutical brand clients. These folks often don’t know what is possible on social platforms and are excited about the opportunities but scared of the regulatory hurdles.

Even so, social media has become a staple for marketing budgets in the industry and it is difficult to find one that doesn’t have a social component. That is part of the reason that the Social Strategy team at Klick grew from 8 people in 2020 to 19 in 2021 (if you’re a candidate you can estimate that math in your head).

But social plans aren’t all that you do. You’ll work with Sci/Reg (you know they’re core when Science and Regulatory is abbreviated) to ensure that regulatory teams at the clients understand social platforms and are comfortable with them. You’ll coach internal teams like client services and project management on how social projects need to be run. You’ll work with the creative teams to ensure that content is within platform specifications and, more importantly, will pass platform policy reviews.

Don’t worry though, we train you on the pharmaceutical rules and regulations, all you need to bring is your curiosity and knack for creative industry-leading social campaigns.

Job Requirements

  • As the successful candidate, you will combine at least two years of social strategy experience, of course, with a host of soft skills to allow you to engage other team members productively. Consider this as a sample core list, we’re excited to learn what unique things you can bring to the job:
  • All the standard marketing requirements (writing, creating presentations, analysis, etc.)
  • Creation of industry-leading social campaigns (this might be more challenging than you expect from pharma)
  • Ability to think “pan-social” and identify opportunities in patient communities as well as media-driven plays
  • Experience creating complex audience engagement plans with rock-solid response matrices and content pillars
  • Ability to view a brand landscape and summarize what important activities are evident
  • Familiarity with all the “core” platforms vis-a-vis policy adherence and specifications tracking
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with other specialists
  • Ability to get clients engaged and excited about social plans

Differentiators

  • Experience working with influencers
  • Other aligned social media marketing skills such as ad management
  • Content creation of any and all types
  • Work in regulated industries with legal oversight
  • Listening experience with Meltwater, Crimson Hexagon, or others
  • Ability to “manage up” and engage senior leaders on the team
  • Balance “speaking up” with “letting others get their job done”
