Job Description
Work Term: Internship (May - August, 2025)
Work schedule: 40 hours per week
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Klick Consulting is looking for a Associate Consulting Data Scientist to join our team as an intern, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a post-secondary degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Epidemiology, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or other technical or business-oriented discipline
- Exposure to at least one industry-standard programming language ecosystem for data extraction, preparation, modeling, and visualization (preferably Python)
- Ability to work with different types of data and adapt to evolving project requirements
- Aptitude to propose and evaluate creative approaches to analyzing disparate datasets of varying structure, quality, and ambiguity
- Genuine interest in developing hands-on data analysis and consulting skills in a fast-paced industry team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to share project updates and data insights within the broader Consulting team
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion for hands-on data analysis and problem solving
- You’re not simply talented, but also optimistic, driven, empathetic, trustworthy, and kind
What You'll Do:
- Work with data scientists, consultants, and technologists to collect, preprocess, analyze, and visualize data, and to prepare reports in support of internal and client-specific project goals
- Use appropriate analysis techniques to solve business problems, e.g., descriptive statistics, machine learning, and generative AI technologies
- Build and maintain knowledge of your projects, data sources, model assets, and analysis
- Collaborate effectively with team members from various disciplines
