Job Description
The Engagement Director plays a key role in shaping and delivering medical and scientific communication programs for our clients. This role focuses on translating complex clinical insights into meaningful strategies, partnering with clients to clarify needs, and guiding cross-functional teams to execute programs that are accurate, compliant, and impactful. This individual brings strong strategic thinking, scientific understanding, and client partnership to help drive innovative, high-quality medical communications.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead development and execution of medical and scientific communication initiatives
- Partner closely with clients to understand business needs and identify strategic opportunities
- Guide cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in alignment with medical strategy
- Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and high standards of scientific accuracy
- Collaborate on planning, presentations, and workshops to support brand and medical objectives
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in medical communications or healthcare communications/marketing
- Prior experience within a medical communications agency
- BA/BS degree in Business or Science
- Strong understanding of US pharma/healthcare regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and client relationships
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Desired:
- Experience leading cross-functional scientific communication teams
- Familiarity with medical strategy and competitive landscapes
- Ability to identify and apply innovative or digital approaches in medical communications
- Comfort integrating AI tools into workflows
- Experience supporting conferences or onsite client meetings
- Knowledge of emerging trends across healthcare and digital communications
